Hi, my name is Vani Shiroor. I am the founder of DOTURMINDS.
Why the unusual name you ask?
Well, you have heard the phrase Dot the i’s and cross the t’s ? It means If you say that someone dots the i’s and crosses the t’s, you mean that they pay great attention to every small detail in a task.What keeps you going? Your brain. Why not pay that great deal of attention to this most important aspect of your life? Your Mind.
There you go, DOTURMINDS is all about learning to keep your mind in check.
WHY behind the creation of Dot Your Minds.
Have you recently or sometime in your life been thrown under the bus by life’s shocking surprises? It could be being fired from a job, losing a near and dear one or even like me, after having led a nearly event less smooth dreamy 26 years of picture perfect life when challenges were just something that happened to someone next door, you were dealt with the card of parenting of a fragile beautiful baby with a genetic disorder that left no skin on her body intact (Learn more about EB here) When life has turned all your beliefs of perfections into but a total myth? If so you are in the right place. If not, good for you, you will be more well equipped spending some time with us to deal with whatever challenges life might throw at you.
After 18 long years of having been a caregiver (still counting)making my way along this motherhood journey to still be sane, optimistic and raise a successful smart young woman, the biggest tool I have had on my side was my MINDFUL MIND and its ability to pivot. Focusing only on the realities of what I knew were true in that given moment. Not worrying about the future.
Question was how do I impart these 2 decades of learnings in an easy consumable decipherable language without sounding too preachy. Knowing all too well that being here in the NOW is the solution to most of life’s challenges. Even procrastination.
Don’t worry you do not have to walk the corridors of hospitals every other month or be on the call to receive that one phone call from school that could get you running helter and skelter to go save your precious angel. I have devised a way to impart these skills through the art of dots.

With DOTURMINDS, I aim to guide you through and enable you to hone the skill of being here in the NOW through the gentle ancient Indian Sand art called Kolam or Rangoli.
We at DOTURMINDS like to serve you the golden nuggets of Breath control, focus and creativity all into one eye catching Dot Art. After all, we all have just One Life To Live. Why not learn to be connected with yourself each minute of your life. Why waste another single minute dwelling in the past or worry about the future?
